  • Trump Mistakes I Bannon

Donald Trump is.. well he’s the future president and a lot of people aren’t happy and a small number of people are. Now personally I hate this guy I will not B.S approval on him and I will be listing his mistakes for well maybe for 4 yrs I will also however list his accomplishments if he makes any personally I don’t believe him when he says drain the swamp but hey maybe I’m wrong we shall see if he makes any good moves I will list them.

Mistake I- Trump has chosen Steve Bannon as his Counselor to the Presidency. Now this is a bad move because Bannon is very much associated with the Alt-Right and people have debated on weather or not he supports the racist and hateful rhetoric of the Alt-Right or just casually allows it but the point is that right now people are terrified of Trump they believe he will mistreat African Americans, deport Latinos and persecute against Muslims so if he wishes to unite the people, if he want’s to prove the racist stances he took during the election were just to get votes then this is not the guy he want’s on his team. And hey maybe I’m wrong about this guy maybe he’s the best guy for the job and not racist and if I am I will correct myself on it when and if proven but for now in these divisive times I just cant see appointing a guy with Bannon’s rep as a good thing.

  • Help my family pay for my mother’s funeral

    leeffi:

    leeffi:

    image

Hey, guys. I’m sure many of you are aware of what’s been going on with me irl, but for those of you who don’t know, allow me to explain.

My name is Lina, I’m a freelance artist, and several months ago my mother was diagnosed with stage four, terminal cancer in her intestines. even with treatment, the doctors gave her until the end of the year to live. This diagnosis came as a shock, and so soon after my dad passed away only two years ago. it was the last thing we ever expected to happen.

still, we didn’t want to give up, and wanted to provide my mom with treatment, but because she didn’t have insurance, my sisters and i paid what we could for her treatment out of our pockets. we took care of her, and for a while, she seemed like she was getting better, but then her health took a turn for the worst in the last few months.

she fought this wretched cancer for over seven, excruciating months. despite all our efforts and hopes, the morning of October 8th, at the age of 58 my mother passed away.

in the span of only two years we’ve lost both our parents. now, aside from having to shoulder my mom’s medical bills, we have to take care of funeral costs as well. but we cannot do this alone, so we’ve launched a GoFundMe so that we may raise funds to cover the costs of my mother’s funeral, and her medical bills.

    LINK TO OUR GOFUNDME
    LINK TO OUR GOFUNDME
    LINK TO OUR GOFUNDME

friends and family have already generously donated, but we need all the help we can get. please, even $1 will help us, and will be greatly appreciated. however, if you are unable to donate, then please reblog this post so that others will see it, sharing our gofundme on facebook and twitter will also help spread the word.

I’m sorry if you’re tired of seeing me talk about this, and would rather i posted more art, but this matter affects me directly, and i have no other choice but to bring it to people’s attention.

Thank you very much for reading.

    reblogging again with an update.

first, i want to thank you all once more for the kindness and generosity you’ve shown us. we are forever grateful to receive support from those willing and able to give it.

i also would like to thank those who reached out to me personally with advice on burial arrangements, even if it was long after the fact.

because i’m still getting funeral advice after my mother has been buried, i want to clarify that the funeral has already been taken care of. we didn’t do anything grand or costly, it was a small service, with only family members. we said our goodbyes and made sure she was sent off properly. It had been, without a doubt, the most difficult experience in my life, but she’s in a better place now, and that fact is my only comfort in all this.

as of November 15th we’ve raised about 11% of our goal, and still have a long way to go before we can pay off the bills from my mom’s funeral and medical care. so, if you can donate, please do, if not, then i urge you to reblog and/or share our GoFundMe. please help spread the word.

as always, thank you so much for reading.

Dark times all around but there are still people out there who love you

    Do
not hurt yourself, do not hurt others, get help, talk to someone, anyone. Humanity has survived before and we can do it now if we all just support each other. My country and my people let me down and endangered my life but there’s nothing I or anyone else can do about that so let’s try to spread the love that is so clearly lacking.

  • I completely agree with your opinions on the Killing Joke, but is wrong of me to find that Barbara became a stronger character because it? Not to excuse it in any way. It was completely heinous, but while I loved Babs as Batgirl I found her struggles as Oracle much more entertaining and relatable. Is it completely wrong of me to think that?

    atopfourthwall:

Not at all. You can still enjoy the stories that came after. Hell, you can still enjoy the Killing Joke (and as I keep saying, I do LIKE a lot of it), but you can still acknowledge the problematic parts of it while praising the good.

  • Woman with Asperger’s who touched millions with viral video shot dead by police in Arizona

A woman with Asperger’s who posted a touching viral video with her service dog last summer has been shot dead by police.

Danielle Jacobs was killed by Mesa, Arizona, officers on Thursday after they arrived at her apartment for a suicide call around 11 a.m., her mother Stacia confirmed to the Daily News.

Police told local media that the 24-year-old came at them with a knife and they fired in self-defense.

Jacobs had garnered international attention last year for posting a courageous video where she sobs as her loving dog Samson provided comfort during a meltdown and used his paws to stop her hitting herself.

“This is what having Asperger’s like,” she wrote alongside the clip, and told the Huffington Post, “When I have a meltdown, I often have self-injurious behavior and I often self-harm.”

The video has been made private, though up until three days before her death she posted videos of the canine comforting her during outbreaks of anxiety.

    image

So from what I’m gathering from the information given is: in this day and age, with all the resources afforded our law enforcement, they still choose to shoot rather than using a less lethal way to disarm a mentally distraught woman with a knife. It’s like they were just reinforcing her suicide. She went at them with a knife knowing how they would respond because, she wanted to die. So that’s what happened. She brought a knife to a gun fight. There were other ways to take her down and get her help rather than shooting to kill.

NOTE: His name was Kayden Clarke. Kayden was a trans man, not a woman as the mainstream media is reporting. Kayden faced severe transphobia and had his access to testosterone blocked by his transphobic psychiatrist, who refused to prescribe it. Kayden Clarke was suicidal and depressed, weighed on by his gender dysphoria. He is a casualty of transphobia and ableism and police militarism, and the least we can do is respect who he was.

I reblogged this earlier, please reblog this version instead.

This is the first post I’ve seen about him on here and I’m honestly surprised (maybe even a little disappointed) that they’re aren’t more posts about him.

This was from around February 4th and I didn’t hear about it? I remember seeing the video with him and his dog and thinking, “God bless this person, God bless their dog, I hope they have all the help they need.”  I’m totally heartbroken about this. That video went viral. Why didn’t I hear more about this until February 12th? Why?

  • Tragedy struck my home last night…

    tiltheloverunsout:

The fire marshal hasn’t gotten back to us on the cause, but while we were out of town yesterday, our house caught fire. It’s gone. Everything. Completely charred and destroyed. Our house was old so it hardly stood a chance .It was such a fast spread that it nearly reached into the neighbor’s yard.

The Red Cross has agreed to put us in a motel for three days, but that’s as much as they can do. This is a huge problem because I am my household’s main source of income and I get paid on a monthly basis.

So here comes the part that I hate to have to do, because it isn’t like me at all. Do any of my lovely followers have any cash to spare at all? We all know these are rough times so I would be grateful for anything. Even $1 is something. Even a reblog is something.

I don’t have a set limit but I’m aiming for $1000. I will somehow gather what I can, but if I don’t have any luck, there is a very high chance that we will become homeless. I am so terrified of that happening because I have a little brother and sister.

So please, anything and everything helps.

  • Laid Off…Looking for work.

    jeiae:

    Hey, everyone.

I’m coming to you in need.  Just an hour ago the company I work for just made a (according to them) hardcore, reactionary set of lay offs just so they could “keep the lights on…”  They assured me that my termination had nothing to do with performance, but regardless, I’m left without a job after the company decided a mere 2 days ago to do SOMETHING!  This snap judgement on their part has left me a bit unprepared.

If anyone could help me with any leads, supply any opportunities, or even just boost this signal, I’d be eternally grateful.

    My short plug is:

    -Bachelor’s in Fine Arts
-Near 3 years of studio experience
    -Four years freelance experience
-Strong illustration and animation cleanup skills
-Several pieces of official marketing brand work

All my most recent personal work can be seen on my tumblr, and I’m willing to prove I can do what you want me to do if you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for if you have a legitimate offer/position.

I’ll be working pretty much none stop till I get a new job, so if you want to just help me in my time of need, you can support me on PATREON.

Please reblog, and help me out.  Thanks, guys!
